My life is my Message

Every generation has inspiring people, some are remembered though the ages. This workshop is about your inspiration and how you are present in this world. Big names like Mandela, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Albert Einstein etc can be inspiring, but also intimidating. They can look super human or unreachable; something a “normal” person as I can never reach. Let’s have a closer look and see where these thoughts bring us.
The key for me is the question “what is your reference”.  Near my house are many schools. Schoolchildren come by in groups on their bikes. Often the most popular in front with two or three around them. And sometimes, somewhat behind or even all alone, comes a girl or a boy with the wrong coat, too big school bag and unfashionable hair. When I see her, 9 out of 10 times I hear her singing when she passes by. Smiling looking up to the trees and the birds. And it touches me deeply every time because she enjoys life and is not bothered by imposed images.
Thich Nhat Hanh once told us: “If a tree wants to be something else than a tree, then we would be in trouble. A tree can give shade to the cattle, give fruit or nuts. And serves as compost with the falling of the leaves in fall or when the tree dies and falls over. You are a flower in the garden of humanity. You can give your freshness to the world and that is enough.”

You are a unique gift to the world, you can be fresh and solid. You can be compassionate and friendly, all you have to do is be yourself. And everyone will benefit, including you.
